Whenever there is a new version of WeenyJob PHP Script, you will receive an email, letting you know that a new version is available, and asking you to update. Every update generally has some Bug fixes, and critical updates, for running your website smoothly.

Click on the ‘-update-copy‘ version, to download the update file of the new version. You will be having a ZIP downloaded.

Next, log in to your hosting provider’s File Manager, and navigate under the public_html/inc folder. Here, you will find a file named ‘database.php‘. This file contains the information about your database. Download that file to your local computer.

Then, come back to the public_html, download your “images” folder, and “uploads” folder as a ZIP. You will need to upload these later.

Then, come back to the public_html, and delete all files and folders. Then, upload the ZIP file you downloaded from the WeenyJob website, and extract it into the public_html. After you have the files and folders like before under your public_html, please delete the ZIP that you uploaded. This is as a security precaution.

The last step is to go again under the public_html/inc/ folder and upload the database.php file you downloaded before. Then, come back to the public_html to upload the “images” and “uploads” zip, and extract those. You should see the “images” and “uploads” folder there like the way before.

That’s it! Your WeenyJob PHP script is now in the latest version. 🙂 If you face any kind of issues while updating, or using WeenyJob, remember, we are just one support ticket away from helping you!
